The oil pressure warning light or oil pressure control light on your Scrambler / Sportsman should inform you when the oil pressure drops to a critical value below 0.5 Bar / 7,25 Psi.
Insufficient oil pressure can cause considerable damage to the engine. 80% of engine damage at Polaris Scrambler or Polaris Sportsman can be traced back t a low oil level.
The kit is plug and play to assemble, no soldering is necessary, no cables have to be changed!
The indicator light is mounted in the mask by the speedometer. An 8mm hole must be drilled for this. It is essential to follow the ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS carefully!
ATTENTION:
LOCTITE 638 must be used to glue in the thread!

Assembly Instructions
LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT Polaris ATV 850/1000/1000 S
The oil pressure warning light or oil pressure control light on your Scrambler / Sportsman should inform you when the oil pressure drops to a critical value below 0.5.
The kit is plug and play to assemble, no soldering is necessary, no cables have to be changed!
The 1/4 x 18 adapter is already pre-assembled. If you have a newer Polaris ATV with M10 x 1 thread, please remove the adapter.
We recommend professional installation by one of our support partners!
The oil pressure sensor is mounted on the middle screw on the right side of the engine fuselage. To do this, remove the plug with the appropriate Allen key.
Make sure that no dirt gets into the hole (oil channel). To screw in the oil pressure sensor, use a 14mm-ended wrench (turn the thread adapter, not the sensor itself).
Use the supplied LOCTITE 638 thread sealant to ensure tightness. Let the Loctite thread sealant harden sufficiently (you can find the exact values in the data sheet).
Make sure that you keep the cable away from rotating parts (cardan shaft) and hot parts (exhaust). The plugs are chosen so that they only fit on the right side.
For the power supply of an orange/white cable on the wiring harness near the battery, the connector is also fitted accordingly.
You can mount the LED lamp in the area of the speedometer (display). An 8 mm hole must be drilled for assembly.
Attention:
If the drill catches, it can cause unintentional damage. Be careful!
When assembling the LED lamp, make sure that it is properly plugged in again before you cover it with the supplied shrink tube. LED lamps only light up when they are properly plugged in.
TEST:
- 1. If the ignition is switched on, the LED control light should light up.
- 2. If the engine is started, the LED control light should go out, provided there is enough oil in the system
ATTENTION:
To glue in the thread, it is essential to use LOCTITE 638 which is included in the delivery. Note the time for curing!
